“Master, can’t I go outside?” Quasimodo asked. “No. You’re an ugly monster,” Frollo told him. “Out there, people will laugh at you. This is your sanctuary. When your mother left you here, I brought you inside. I’m your only friend.” Why does Quasimodo’s master keep him in the tower? Why does Frollo hate the gypsies?
